AbOut Our Water

  • Rain Fresh is classified as purified water. Because of certain proprietary steps, such as the magnetic treatment and oxygen-enrichment, Rain Fresh could be termed an "enhanced water" or "functional beverage". These terms have become buzzwords in the beverage industry recently. This was not the case when we began manufacturing over 30 years ago. To our knowledge we are the originators of this processing for our industry.

As yet, no standards have been set for oxygen-enriched waters by the Department of Health. Please note oxygenation is not the same as oxygen stabilization. Certain water treatment processes oxygenate the water, but this does not mean the oxygen is available in the product.

  • Rain Fresh goes through a rigorous purification process which includes:

    • Sediment filtration

    • Carbon filtration

    • KDF filtration

    • Ultraviolet light treatment

    • Reverse osmosis

    • Ozone

    • Vortex column

    • Oxygen enrichment

Head to the Our Purification Process page for more detailed information on the Rain Fresh purification process.

  • No. Some dentists recommend fluoridated water. This is a highly controversial topic as even pro-fluoridation scientists will admit that no properly conducted research has shown that fluoride prevents cavities. On the contrary an Internet search will bring up many studies citing negative effects of ingested fluoride.

  • Yes. Some of our customers do use Rain Fresh for their pets (fish, dogs, cats, etc.). The dissolved oxygen in our water is actually really good for fish.

  • It is ultra-pure; oxygen enriched and has a distinct taste. Our water has less than 10 ppm of Total Dissolved Solids (TDS). This means there aren't any chemicals, minerals, metals, pesticides, etc. in it. Spring waters usually contain more than 250 ppm TDS. Mineral waters must contain at least 250 ppm TDS to be considered mineral water. Many people can also distinguish Rain Fresh by its taste; it has a sweet taste unlike other waters. There is reason to believe that some of the crisp sweetness of our water is from the added oxygen.

  • No. Although Rain Fresh and distilled water are both physically pure at less than 10 ppm, we do not use a distiller as part of the process. To learn more on the reasons why, check out the Why Rain Fresh? page.

  • Our water comes from the Garland municipal source. Unfortunately due to widespread pollution, we have seriously compromised the quality of our air, soil and water worldwide. How else do you explain the presence of PCB's in penguins in the Antarctic? Truly pure uncontaminated water sources are few and not easily accessed.

The solution we believe is to duplicate the processes of nature to make the water we were meant to drink. In truth, it doesn't matter where we get our source water because our purification process is so thorough that no matter what the source water, the end result will be the same clean sweet water we always make.

  • Rain Fresh Bottled Water is an oxygen infused, purified, and structured water which typically has a pH in the neutral zone, between 6 and 8 (with the body pH being 7).

We don't buffer the pH of the water hence there is a range. Most companies adding minerals to bottled water are adding only 1 - 4 minerals out of over 72 possible trace minerals.

Every-body is unique and there are various opinions when it comes to how many minerals a person should add to water. (Consult your Naturopath) What type of minerals; organic or inorganic (carbon chain or not) is another debate with opinions on both sides.

When purifying water there is currently no way to sort out "good minerals" from contaminants, so we have to filter out most everything then add minerals.

We believe purified water should be re-mineralized and we offer a few different options for trace minerals to be delivered with your water.

Because there are so many unique variables for each individual we don't add minerals to our purified water at the factory.

  • To be honest, the water from your home filter is not nearly as pure. The average home system typically has a small media filter and one carbon filter. So all the stuff that gets taken out by our process, stays in your home water. Do you really want bacteria, viruses, bio-solids, pharmaceuticals, MtBEs, Chromium-6, and who-knows-what-else in your drinking water?

Additionally, many home filter owners start out with good intentions, and soon they’re growing a biology experiment in the filters! We keep a rigorous maintenance schedule on our water, recharging our filters to keep them fresh each week, and then changing filters before they are due. We also pay an independent lab to test our water every week.

Finally, of course - does your home filter system oxygenate the water? We’ve never seen one that does …

  • Yes, adding RO to your home system definitely helps.

However, our industrial RO unit is designed to allow exactly one molecule of water through, at a time - and nothing else. This requires a high-pressure pump that forces the water through the membrane. Our system also continually flushes the RO filter to remove contaminants - we don’t know of any under-the-sink systems that do this.

AbOut Our Business

  • They offer a natural spring water that has traveled through the earth for thousands of years and is bottled at the source with its native mineral content, then treated with filtration, UV, and ozonation for safety.

Our approach is different—we start with purified water and restore it intentionally, focusing on oxygenation, movement, and structure to bring it closer to how fresh, flowing water behaves in nature.

We also believe strongly that the future of water is local—rather than extracting from a distant spring, we focus on restoring the water where people live.

One way we think about it is this:

A natural spring is part of a larger watershed—a living system where water moves through soil, rock, roots, and time. That movement shapes the water.

But when we bottle water at the source and transport it across the country, we’re essentially redirecting part of that watershed elsewhere.

It’s a bit like taking blood from one part of the body and moving it somewhere else—useful in certain cases, but not something you’d want to rely on as the primary way a body functions.

In a healthy system, water—like blood—circulates locally, supporting the life around it.

    Our philosophy is:

Instead of pulling water from one place to serve another,
we should care for and improve the water where we are.

    That means:

    • Working with local water sources

    • Purifying and restoring them

    • Returning water to a state that supports the body and the environment

Because ultimately, human health and ecosystem health are connected.

The quality of the water in your body reflects the quality of the water in your environment.

So while both approaches can produce high-quality drinking water, they represent two different ways of thinking:

    • Spring water → honoring a specific place and its natural geology

    • Rain Fresh → restoring and elevating water locally, wherever you are

Our goal isn’t just to provide clean water—it’s to be part of a larger shift toward stewardship, awareness, and a more balanced relationship with water itself.

  • Rain Fresh is oxygen-rich and ultra-purified—but that’s just the starting point (see the Our Process page for a detailed description of our purification process)..

What really makes us different is how intentional we are—both in how we treat the water, and how we treat the people we serve.

🔬 How We Approach the Water

We don’t just filter water—we refine it step by step:

    • Multi-stage filtration designed to remove metals and impurities

    • Triple-pass carbon filtration for deeper purification

    • Fine micron filtration for clarity and consistency

    • Oxygenation and movement to bring the water closer to how it behaves in nature

    We’re constantly asking:

“How can we make this water cleaner, fresher, and more alive?”

    ⏱️ Freshness Matters

Water isn’t just a product—it’s something that changes over time.

    So we pay attention to:

    • How long it sits before delivery

    • How it’s stored

    • How quickly it gets to you

Because fresh water is better water.

    • And building a business that values people just as much as the product

A Simple Way to Put It

    Most companies sell water.
We focus on how it’s made, how it’s handled, and how it gets to you.

  • No. From our research and consultations with health practitioners we believe very pure water with oxygen was the water which primitive man caught in cisterns and drank as the freshest source available. This is the only water we produce.

  • You can check out our Water Delivery Calendar on our Order Water page.

Residential and commercial customers are typically on 4-week rotations. Exceptions are made for high volume users and under special circumstances. We are trying to do our part to protect the environment by making fewer trips.

Wholesale accounts are normally delivered weekly. If you run low between deliveries, a Fresh supply can be found at one of the stores listed on our Store Locator page. You are also welcome to stop by our office directly and pick some up!

You can also make adjustments to your next delivery order by calling our office, emailing us, or by logging in to your Customer Portal.

  • We totally understand your concern and it is a valid consideration. It really depends on how long a bottle has been in the sun, direct or indirect exposure, what type of plastic, and how hot the water & bottle gets.

It would be concerning if a 5-gallon polycarbonate bottle sat in direct sunlight for weeks or got to be 108 degrees or more for an extended period. Now it would be different if it were a small, single-serve plastic bottle which you drank out of and left in the hot car for even 4-5 hours. We wouldn't recommend drinking that.

  • It is completely up to you.

Our professional drivers deliver water to hundreds of homes and businesses across the Dallas Fort-Worth area. Typically, they will leave the water at the front door and pick up empty bottles that have been left out for them.

But we can handle all sorts of special instructions for how you want the delivery to be made.

  • You can check out our Store Locator to find a store selling Rain Fresh near you.

You can also stop by our office in Garland, Texas and we will load bottles into your car with a smile!

  • At this time, we do not offer glass bottles.

Our 8 oz, ½ liter, and 1-liter bottles are made from PETE (#1) plastic. Our 3- and 5-gallon returnable bottles are made from polycarbonate (#7).

We take full responsibility for every container we deliver—once it reaches you and when it’s ready to be reused or recycled. We prioritize reuse first, then recycling, and work to keep all materials out of the waste stream whenever possible.

  • This is Milan—my family started Rain Fresh Water back in 1984, and I’ve been drinking from our returnable polycarbonate bottles since I was about a year old (I was born in 1983).

Over the years, there’s been a lot of concern around plastics and potential leaching—and it’s a fair question. Our families drink this water too, so we take it very seriously.

Plastic is everywhere in modern life, and a lot of what we see in headlines can be oversimplified or lack real-world context.

In 2010, out of my own curiosity (and for our customers’ peace of mind), I worked with an independent lab to test our water under a variety of real-world conditions.

    We tested:

    • Brand new bottles

    • Bottles in circulation for years

    • Water stored long-term

We did not find any detectable levels of BPA in any of the samples tested.

I’ve attached the lab results here for you to review directly.
Across all samples, BPA was reported as non-detect (<50 ppb).

That honestly surprised me, because based on what I had read at the time, I expected we would see some level of leaching.

So I went deeper and started reading the scientific studies behind the headlines. What I found is that BPA doesn’t just leach randomly—it typically requires specific conditions (catalysts).

    The main ones are:

    • High heat

    • Direct sunlight / UV exposure

    • Extreme pH

    • Microwave radiation

    • High-energy or electrical exposure

For example, many studies involve microwaving plastic containers—especially with liquids like milk—which creates ideal conditions for leaching.

So what we’ve learned—and what we recommend—is pretty simple:

    👉 Avoid extreme conditions

    • Don’t leave water in a hot car or garage

    • Don’t microwave plastics

👉 Store it like any high-quality food

    • Cool, dark, and dry environment

    👉 Be mindful of surroundings

    • Plastic is slightly permeable over time, so avoid storing water near gasoline, chemicals, or pesticides

At the end of the day, everything naturally breaks down over time—it’s just about not accelerating that process.

  • Sometimes we’re asked, “Why is your water more expensive than other companies?"

Our response: “Is it - really?” Maybe not, once you add up their:

    • $$ Delivery fees

    • $$ Fuel surcharge fees

    • $$ Bottle cleaning fees

    • $$ And so forth …

Our prices are all-inclusive. You know what you will be paying, and we don’t slap you with hidden fees and extra charges.

Nor do we start our customers at one lower price, knowing we will raise it after a few months. Then raise it again. We just don’t think that is how business should be conducted.

With Rain Fresh, what you see is exactly what you get.

  • We would be happy to assist you in answering any additional questions you may have.
